Trouillas is the birthplace of Vin doux Naturel. Not a lot of people know that!

These wines are fortified during fermentation to preserve their original natural sweetness.

Our Muscat de Rivesaltes is a beautiful sweet wine for drinking as an aperitif or with blue cheeses and desserts. It embodies the famous Roussillon sunlight captured in a glass.

The bouquet is of jasmin and apricots with a hint of ginger. The palate envelopes you with the texture of goose down.  So many of our guests have been wowed by this wine. Beware - one glass is never enough.

Recommended Food Matches

Although it is superb to drink on its own, it goes fantastically well with 

bulletblue cheeses and patés 
bullet creamy desserts
bullet most sensationally, chocolates

It is best served slightly chilled.

Viticulture

Made only from Muscat à Petit Grains from selected rows left to ripen beyond everything else. Our pickers carefully inspect every bunch and select only the best grapes for this wine.

Winemaking

Alan destemming the MuscatAfter a long, gentle press, the must is settled on its lees for an extended period. As the wine ferments under refrigeration, we check its sugar level every hour to decide the exact moment to carry out the mutage. Like waiting for a baby, this may occur at 3.00am.

The wine is naturally settled, without fining, over winter. It receives a single filtration before bottling. Only 200 cases produced.
